Starburst and Skittles aren't vegetarian/vegan friendly

I emailed the candy company last week trying to see if Starburst and Skittles are kosher or vegetarian/vegan friendly.
This is what I received today:

In response to your email regarding STARBURST FRUIT CHEWS.

Thanks for your email.

The gelatin used in our SKITTLES BITE SIZE CANDIES is derived from beef.

The gelatin used in our STARBURST FRUIT CHEWS is also derived from beef with the exception of our STARBURST GUMMIBURSTS where the gelatin is derived from pork.

I assume that since it doesn't say "kosher," that it probably isn't.
